Edna M. Barron, 91, of Somerset, passed on March 21, 2013 at Siemon Lakeview Manor. Born April 22, 1921 in Somerset, she is the daughter of the late Mary Miller and was raised by her grandparents, the late Austin and Annie Miller. She is also preceded in death by her husband Merle Barron in 1984; daughter Linda Barron; brothers Lloyd Racey Jr., and Arthur, Fred, and Irwin Weyand; and sisters Beatrice Pugh and Mabel Williams. Edna is survived by her children Wayne M. Barron, Gene Barron and wife Bonnie (Ream), and Ruth Mostoller and husband Bill, all of Somerset; grandchildren Jason, Travis, Chad, Lucas, Rebecca, and Kristie; great-grandchildren Michael, Tyler, Stephanie, Alyssa, Austin, Hunter, Brandon, Krislyn, Sha Ann, and Makyl; and brothers and sisters LeRoy, Paul, and Charles Weyand, Bessie Zerfoss, Grace Nicklow, and Robert, LeRoy, and Eugene Jones; and uncle Elmer Miller. Edna was a long-time farmer in Somerset Township. She was a member of Samuels Lutheran Church where she participated in many capacities including quilting and the WELCA group. She also enjoyed sewing, gardening and canning. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday at Miller Funeral Home and Crematory, Somerset, where a service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, pastor David Bowman officiating.
